I have finally finished my "sunshine and shadows" string quilt from your October 2013 workshop in Poughkeepsie. I had a great deal of no sewing " idle" time due to two hand surgeries since then.
Once I was a bit more nimble after weeks of physical therapy and surgery number two.
I pulled out my blocks, made more and added to. I was very grateful you had suggested to learn to be ambidextrous with the rotary cutter. My right hand not strong enough to hold the cutter, but with no slip strips it could hold the ruler steady enough. Cut glove on of course!
I really enjoyed your class and meeting you.
The quilt will be for a newly married couple I know. It fits in with the "modern crowd" while still being traditional in setting. Thank you so much!
