JoLynn O’Neil from the Lakeview Quilter’s Guild in Houston, Texas let me push her “out on the limb” with her Indian Hatchet string quilt. She was searching for a way to combine the blocks that was a little different. I suggested narrow sashing strips with red set squares. From there JoLynn added the beautiful appliqué hearts and the kicky border made out of the “free” squares turned into pinwheels. What a fantastic quilt!
